MH-CoPES Resources

The MH-COPES Manual - For Area Health Service Staff

A First Edition of The MH-CoPES Manual has been developed by the MH-CoPES Project team in consultation with the MH-CoPES Statewide Implementation Committee (SWIC).

The MH-CoPES Manual is designed to assist the MH-CoPES representative responsible for implementing MH-CoPES within each Area Health Service.  Currently, this person is the MH-CoPES SWIC Representative.

The Manual provides a suite of resources to assist with, and enhance, the implementation of the MH-CoPES Framework within an Area Health Service.  It is divided into sections that focus on each Step of the MH-CoPES Framework, and include a number of relevant templates and ‘Frequently Asked Questions' for each Step.

The information contained in the Manual is a guide, and resources can be adapted to suit the specific needs of each Area Health Service.  The Manual is aimed at assisting staff at an Area level, but some sections may also be useful to staff at an individual service unit level.  The MH-CoPES Representative can distribute information from this Manual as they consider appropriate and useful.

A final edition of the Manual will be released later in the year.

The MH-CoPES Poster

The NSW CAG MH-CoPES Project Team has produced an MH-CoPES Poster.

The poster can be displayed around services to alert consumers to the existence of the MH-CoPES Framework and Questionnaire, and to help consumers to feel comfortable and empowered about asking for a Questionnaire.

Consumer Sheet - MH-CoPES

The latest version of the MH-CoPES "Consumer Sheet" is now available.

This two page document is to be provided to people who are unfamiliar with the MH-CoPES Framework.  It contains useful information about the Questionnaire, how it can be returned, and what happens to the answers consumers provide.

It can be:

  • Handed out with the MH-CoPES Questionnaire
  • Mailed out with Questionnaires in the post
  • Placed in a brochure stand at your service
  • Enlarged as a poster.
