The MH-CoPES Project
In 2001, consumers of mental health services told NSW Health that they wanted to be involved in evaluating and improving their services. In response to this request, in 2004 the NSW Consumer Advisory Group - Mental Health Inc. (NSWCAG) was funded by Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Office (MHDAO) - NSW Health to conduct the Mental Health Consumer Perceptions and Experiences of Services (MH-CoPES) Project.
The MH-CoPES project was established to identify, develop, test and refine a framework for consumer evaluation of mental health services to use across NSW. The MH-CoPES Project has been funded by the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Office, NSW Health. The stages of the MH-CoPES Project are as follows:
Stage 1 Project (2004-2005)
Developed a statewide approach to measuring and responding to consumer perceptions and experiences of services.
